Breakfast with Santa had the largest turnout in memory. All the stockings were given to the children attending along with an additional present from the Oak Creek Lions. Not only was this event well attended by the public, plenty of help from Lions, Lionettes and Leos assured success for this annual program.
District Convention is fast approaching on January 16th and 17th. Discounted registration and hotel rooms are available until December 16th. This is always and important event for our club and district and this year our very own Lion Carl Marquardt will be elected as the next District Governor.
At the 50th Anniversary several awards were presented. Recipients of the Melvin Jones were Lion Mike Toman, Lion Al Cobbs, Lion Joe Moselle, Lion Rich Adkins, Lionette Joanne Ashbaugh and Lionette Lois Arsand. click here for Melvin Jones. Recipients for the Birch Strum were Lion Jerry Ashbaugh, Lion Phil Buckland, Lion Al Hobbs and Lion Dick Iverson, click here for Birch Sturm. The Knight of the Blind was awarded to Lion Ron Lundell, Lion Fred Fairbanks and Lion Jordan Chadwick, click here for Knights of the Blind . Lion Phil Buckland was also honored as a Life Member.
