Oak Creek Lions Labor Day Festival   

When: August 29, 30, 31 & Sept. 1 

Where:  Oak Creek Festival Grounds

Why:  We are selling Nachos and Walking Tacos to raise funds that we can donate to worthwhile causes in 2008-2009.

Humane Society Update – Leo Dawn did check into the volunteer activities available through the WI Humane Society.  At this time the Humane Society asks for multi-week/multi-hour commitments from their volunteers.   Because this would be more involvement than we had discussed, Leo Dawn will bring the information to the September meeting so that the Club can look it over and decide if we want to pursue this service activity. 

Future Service Activities – If you have a service project you’d like to see the Club involved in, please bring information about it (what, when, why) to the September Club meeting.  Service activities for the year will be determined by YOU the members at that meeting.  Examples of some of the projects done in the past: collections of items for armed service members, coat drive, serving food at Rescue Mission, collections of items for Humane Society.

      If you need help getting information on a service activity you’d like the Club to participate in, please call or e-mail Lion Sharon ahead of time for assistance. 

BRING A FRIEND-SHARE THE FUN!!  Leos, always remember that you are welcome to bring a friend with you to our meetings, fun events (like Labor Day Festival) and on our service projects!  Let’s share the fun!
